Kowhaiwhai Art
On Thursday the 1st of March 2012 room 22 went to the art room. Room 22 made Kowhaiwhai art. We had to paint or colour them in with red, black and white colours. It was so hard to colour it in. We had some paper to practise on then Miss Hanson gave us a strip of paper for our final art. When we had finished we made kowhaiwhai strips with coloured paper. We learnt that kowhaiwhai art has to be a continuous pattern and it is very special to the Maori people.
