Home Learning
Home learning
Here are a few notes on home learning in Room 22.
We have given students homework sheets. This is for ONE WHOLE TERM. These go home on Monday and are marked on Friday. Every student is expected to complete the tasks. If you feel your child should be exempted for any reason, please send a note from home. Also, cross off the ones that you have already done. However, they can repeat one task twice only. This is so they get to experiment and explore other activities. Encourage them to participate in all the learning activities to support their learning. Looking forward to some great Home Learning experiences!
Spelling lists are also sent home with homework. These lists are pasted at the front of the book and they have one list per week to learn.
All children are able to access mathletics.com. This engaging site is very useful in helping students practise what they have learned in maths.

Term 3 Happenings
Term 3 was a very busy and exciting term. Here are some photos of what we got up to:
We all wrote interesting speeches on a topic of our choice. Dylan, Richie and Baldeep were the Room 22 Speech finalists who went on to the Year 5 final. From there, Baldeep came 3rd and went on to the Year 5 & 6 final. We were very proud of his awesome effort!
Chanae, Keira, Jainesh and Areya represented PCS (and got very muddy!) at the Cross Country Zones. Chanae came 3rd in the 10 year old girls race, and Keira came 5th out of the 9 year old girls.
Yzabelle and Arush were part of the PCS Year 5 Mathex team that won their competition.
Samson and Sachchit performed in a Puppet Show during Book Week
Avani and Chanae represented PCS at the Gymnastics Zones. Chanae came 3rd in the vault and the Year 5 girls team came 2nd overall.
We came to school dressed up twice, for Crazy Hair day and Book Week. Baldeep even won a prize for Best Dressed! Can you tell who our favourite book characters are?
Lucky Chanae got the chance to train with the Breakers!
We are super excited about our trip to Rotoroa Island next term. Here's a link to a video about what we will be learning...

Room 22 Assembly
We have been learning a lot about the election, and when we hosted assembly last week we presented this video about what we would do if we were in charge of running the country. Check it out!
